The Extras based at the Hall
Catering:
We use a variety of local caterers to cater for your special event using the dining room. Our caterers produce a range of menus to cater for all differing tastes and requirements. Please enquire so we can put you in touch with them to personalise your requirements from 3 course dinners, Devon cream Teas, special occasion cakes, buffets, spit roasts
Deliveries:
We offer a complimentary packing service for deliveries on the day of your arrival. Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tescos and Majestic Wines all deliver to the hall. There is also an excellent local farm shop with a bakery catering for allergies too – Dart Fresh who can deliver daily (except Sundays). There is an M&S Foodhall in Tiverton open daily.
Entertainment:
We have Sonos throughout the ground floor at the hall. We provide board games, a quarter size pool table, an eclectic library for guest use, rowing boat, paddleboards and a canoe for fun on the lake. We do have life jackets available for children. Football with net is in the grounds, rounders and boules are also provided. Wifi is good throughout with CAT6 cabling and USB sockets are located throughout the property, including all the bedrooms.
Electric Car Charging:
There is an outside power point on the drive.
Housekeeping:
If extra cleaning is required during your stay this can be arranged at £20 per hour and should be discussed in advance. We recycle and ask our guests to do the same during their stay with us. We provide bedlinen, towels and outside towels.
Babies:
We have one cot with mattress but ask guests to provide their own linen for the cot. There is also a highchair available.
Amenities:
We provide complimentary coffees, teas, olive oil and pantry staples eg sauces, dried herbs, salt, pepper etc. When in season guests can also use the kitchen garden for potatoes, salads and vegetables (subject to availability). Shower gels, loo paper, foil, cling film etc are also catered for. Fresh flowers are also provided in the downstairs rooms. There is an extensive array of crockery, glassware and gadgets for the keen cook!
Still on the Move:
We have partnered with Devon Distillery for a gin making session at the hall choosing from over 30 botanicals and spices to create your own unique personalised bottles of gin. Two hours of fun for gin lovers, the distillery arrives with a ‘Move and Ginny’, a 1973 VW pick-up rescued and lovingly restored and placed on the drive at Colleton Hall to make 27x 70cl bottles at £57 per bottle.
Archery and laser/clay pigeon shooting:
Archery and laser/clay pigeon shooting can be organised at the hall, please discuss in advance with Devon Country Pursuits
Nature walk:
Nature walk led by ex-National Trust ranger and contributor to BBC Radio 4. Ed’s walk takes you through the grounds of Colleton Hall and explains nature and the local landscape to the full. Well worth booking in advance and popular with guests. Cost: £60 per group
Yoga with Charlotte
Charlotte from Wild Soul Yoga will share with you a practice that focuses on mindful, embodied movement with a deep connection to the breath. She will guide you through traditional poses and sometimes make some up! Cost £60 per group.
Qigong with Ollie
Qigong can help calm an agitated mind, release tension, steady the nerves, clear energy blocks and improve your health. The sessions are relaxed and fun but serious about helping you nurture a Qigong and meditation practice and develop a balanced and peaceful mind. Qigong is best practised outdoors in nature so weather permitting the sessions will take place by the lake. Cost £60 per group. Contact Ollie for info.
