Totalling over 38 acres, the grounds provide seclusion and tranquillity for nature spotting, walking, picnics and other recreational use. The semi ancient woodland covers 25 acres, there are 10 acres of parkland and 3 acres of gardens to enjoy. A stream, a tributary to the Little Exe river, runs through the property. There is also a wooded copse area in the parkland with a large picnic area and firepit (logs provided). The dell walk is a delight in Spring with bluebells.

There are over 3000 trees in the grounds which helps to off-set carbon emissions, and the owners plant new trees annually.
